Formula used
The checker uses a weighted compatibility score from 0 to 100. Protocol matching is treated as a hard gate for pairing.
- +50 if hub supports the device protocol (or Matter bridge rule).
- +10 if the hub is optimized for the device category.
- +5 for each satisfied app/assistant preference (capped at 30).
- +10 if local control is preferred and supported.
- -3 per warning (range risks, missing integrations, cloud mismatch).
- -25 per blocking issue (protocol mismatch, region mismatch).
Status thresholds: Compatible (>=70, no blocking issues), Partially Compatible (45-69, no blocking issues), Not Compatible (otherwise).
