Formula Used

The calculator converts local birth time into Universal Time. It then calculates Julian Day from the calendar date and UT hour. Solar longitude uses a mean Sun value plus equation of center. Lunar longitude uses simplified periodic correction terms.

Planet values use mean longitude movement from the J2000 epoch. Sidereal mode subtracts a Lahiri style ayanamsa estimate. Zodiac sign is found by dividing ecliptic longitude by 30 degrees. Degree inside sign is the remainder after sign division.

Local sidereal time equals Greenwich sidereal time plus longitude. The ascendant is estimated from sidereal time, latitude, and obliquity. Equal houses add 30 degrees from the ascendant. Whole sign houses begin from the ascendant sign.

How To Use This Calculator

  1. Enter the birth date from a trusted record.
  2. Enter the exact local birth time.
  3. Add the correct UTC offset for that place and date.
  4. Enter latitude and longitude in decimal format.
  5. Select sidereal or tropical zodiac mode.
  6. Select equal house or whole sign house layout.
  7. Press the calculate button.
  8. Review the result above the form.
  9. Download CSV or PDF when needed.

Birth Chart Calculator Guide

A birth chart maps the sky for one birth moment. It uses date, time, time zone, latitude, and longitude. The calculator turns those details into zodiac positions, houses, and lunar markers. It gives a readable snapshot for study, reflection, and comparison.

What The Chart Shows

The report starts with the Sun sign, Moon sign, and ascendant. These three points are popular because they describe core identity, emotional style, and outward approach. The table also lists mean positions for major planets. Each row shows longitude, sign, degree, element, and mode. This helps you compare fire, earth, air, and water influences quickly.

Why Place And Time Matter

Birth time changes the ascendant and house cusps. A difference of minutes can move sensitive angles. Birthplace matters because longitude changes local sidereal time. Latitude affects the rising degree. For the best result, enter the recorded birth time and a trusted time zone offset. Use decimal coordinates for better precision.

How The Calculator Works

The calculator converts local birth time to Universal Time. It then finds a Julian Day value. Simplified astronomical formulas estimate solar, lunar, and mean planetary longitudes. The selected zodiac mode decides whether the ayanamsa is subtracted. Equal houses are counted from the ascendant. Whole sign houses start from the ascendant sign.

Using The Result

Use the chart as a structured reference. Check the dominant element. Review the Moon phase and nakshatra. Compare the ascendant with the house list. Export the CSV for spreadsheets. Download the PDF when you need a simple report. The values are useful for learning, but they are not a substitute for professional ephemeris software. This page favors speed and clarity over observatory grade precision.

Practical Tips

Confirm daylight saving rules before entering the time zone. Use east longitude as positive. Use west longitude as negative. Use north latitude as positive. Use south latitude as negative. Recalculate when any birth detail changes. Keep exported files with the original inputs. Save the city name beside each report. Compare charts only when both times are reliable. Treat repeated patterns as prompts for reflection. Note uncertain inputs before sharing any interpretation. Review older records when family notes disagree. Use it as a guide, not fixed personal truth.

FAQs

1. What does this birth chart calculator do?

It estimates zodiac signs, planetary positions, ascendant, houses, lunar phase, tithi, and nakshatra from birth date, time, place, and time zone.

2. Is the result fully professional?

No. This tool uses simplified formulas for fast learning and general chart study. Professional astrologers often use full ephemeris data and verified birth records.

3. Why is birth time important?

Birth time affects local sidereal time. That changes the ascendant and houses. Even small time errors can shift sensitive chart angles.

4. What is the UTC offset?

The UTC offset is the difference between local birth time and Universal Time. Pakistan standard time is usually plus five hours.

5. What is sidereal zodiac mode?

Sidereal mode subtracts an ayanamsa estimate from tropical longitude. It is commonly used in many Vedic style chart systems.

6. What is tropical zodiac mode?

Tropical mode keeps longitudes aligned with seasonal reference points. It is widely used in many Western astrology systems.

7. Can I export my result?

Yes. After calculation, use the CSV button for spreadsheet data. Use the PDF button for a simple printable report.

8. Why do coordinates matter?

Coordinates help estimate the rising degree and house cusps. Longitude changes local sidereal time, while latitude changes the ascendant calculation.
