Formulae Used
  1. Total eave length = sum of eave runs × count.
  2. Total rake length = sum of rake runs × count.
  3. Total fascia run = eave + rake + returns.
  4. Joints per run = ceil(run / stock) − 1 (min 0).
  5. Overlap allowance = joints × overlap in / 12.
  6. Fascia total length = (run + overlap) × (1 + waste%).
  7. Soffit rows = ceil(soffit depth in / panel width in).
  8. Soffit panel length = eave length × rows.
  9. Soffit total length = panel length × (1 + waste%).
  10. Stock pieces = ceil(total length / stock length).
  11. Packs = ceil(stock pieces / pack size).
How To Use
  1. Enter waste, overlap, stock sizes, and soffit geometry.
  2. Add rows for each elevation: eaves, rakes, and returns.
  3. Click Calculate to update summaries and cut plan.
  4. Export results using CSV or generate a compact PDF.

FAQs

Inputs are in feet and inches as noted; totals are shown in feet.

Panels run along eaves. Rows across the depth equal ceil(depth / panel width), multiplied by total eave length.

Many trims lap at joins. Enter the required lap in inches to add into totals.

Yes, select typical lengths and enter pack sizes to auto‑compute pieces and packs.

Use results as a planning estimate. Validate dimensions, details, and manufacturer guidelines before ordering.
