| Shape | Material | Density (kg/m³) | L | W | D | d | T | Qty | Scrap % | Cost/kg |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rectangle | Carbon Steel | 7850 | 1200 | 800 | - | - | 10 | 4 | 2 | 1.50 |
| Circle | Aluminum | 2700 | - | - | 600 | - | 8 | 6 | 0 | 3.20 |
| Ring | Stainless Steel | 8000 | - | - | 500 | 200 | 6 | 10 | 5 | 2.80 |
Formula Used
All weights compute from Volume × Density, returning kilograms. Dimensions convert to meters internally.
- Rectangle plate: \( V = L \times W \times T \)
- Circle plate: \( V = \pi \times (D/2)^2 \times T \)
- Ring plate: \( V = \pi \times \big((D/2)^2 - (d/2)^2\big) \times T \)
Then: \( \text{Weight} = V \times \rho \), multiplied by quantity and by \( 1 + \frac{\text{Scrap \%}}{100} \). Cost uses entered cost per kilogram.
Preset densities (kg/m³): Carbon Steel 7850, Stainless Steel 8000, Aluminum 2700, Brass 8500, Copper 8960, Titanium 4500. You can override density anytime.
