Example Data Table
Common scenarios to illustrate usage. These examples auto-calculate using the same formula.
| # | Material | Length | Width | Thickness | Units | Qty | Total Weight (kg) |
|---|
Formulas Used
Per‑sheet area (m²) = Length × Width
Per‑sheet volume (m³) = Area × Thickness
Per‑sheet weight (kg) = Volume × Density
Total weight (kg) = Per‑sheet weight × Quantity
Densities use kg/m³. Dimensions are converted to meters before calculating volume.
Notes on gauges: Gauge values are converted to thickness using common reference tables for uncoated sheet steel and aluminum. Real products vary by standard and manufacturer.
How to Use This Calculator
- Select a material. Choose “Custom Density” to enter your own density.
- Pick your units for length and width, then enter dimensions.
- Select the thickness unit. For gauges, enter the gauge number.
- Enter the quantity of sheets and click Calculate.
