Formula used
We compute the total count of whole days between two calendar dates using ISO calendar arithmetic.
- Let
Bbe the birth date at midnight local time converted to UTC. - Let
Tbe the target date (or today) at midnight local time converted to UTC. - The total days is
D = |T - B|measured in whole days using date interval math that correctly handles leap years and month lengths.
From D we derive:
weeks = D / 7months ≈ D / 30.436875(average Gregorian month)years ≈ D / 365.2425(mean tropical year)
