For equal choices each outcome uses probability 1 ÷ number of choices.
For weighted choices the tool uses P(choice) = choice weight ÷ total weight.
A random value selects one probability interval. Secure mode uses browser cryptographic randomness when available.

Understanding the random decision wheel
Random decisions are useful when several choices feel equally acceptable. A wheel adds a visible process instead of hidden guessing. It can reduce hesitation during low stakes everyday choices. The result should still support thoughtful judgment when consequences matter.
This tool begins with a simple Yes and No wheel. You can add Maybe or replace every label completely. Each choice can use equal odds or custom weights. Weighted choices let some outcomes appear more often than others.
Equal probability divides the wheel evenly between all active choices. Custom weighting uses each choice weight against the total weight. A larger weight creates a larger selection probability. Zero weight effectively removes that choice from random selection.
Secure browser randomness uses cryptographic random values when available. Standard mode uses the browser's common random number generator. Seeded mode creates repeatable sequences for demonstrations and testing across repeated browser sessions.
The animated wheel visually represents the current choice probabilities. Larger weighted segments occupy more space around the wheel. The pointer marks the selected segment after spinning ends. Spin speed and rotation count can be adjusted independently.
Custom choices turn the tool into a broader picker. Paste one choice on each line for quick setup. CSV and text files can also provide choice lists. Exported files make repeated decision sets easier to reuse.
Decision history records the question and selected result locally. It also stores the probability used for that selection. Statistics summarize totals and the most frequent recorded result. Streak information shows consecutive appearances of the same result.
Batch mode performs many independent decisions without repeated animations. It helps demonstrate whether configured weights behave as expected. Larger batches usually approach the selected probability distribution more closely. Small batches can still vary widely because randomness naturally fluctuates.
The repeat prevention option changes normal independent random behavior. It tries to avoid selecting the previous result immediately. Therefore it should remain disabled for unbiased independent experiments. It can be useful for casual games needing more variety.
Sound effects provide feedback when spinning starts and finishes. They can be disabled whenever silent operation is preferred. The result panel can also be hidden if unnecessary. Keyboard spinning provides faster interaction on desktop devices.
Theme settings change the interface between light and dark modes. Text size controls improve readability inside larger wheel segments. Border settings change separation between neighboring colored wheel sections. Responsive layouts keep controls usable on smaller mobile screens.
